My Happy Dog

Practical choices for life with your dog.

My Happy Dog helps owners choose equipment for the dog and household they actually have. We explain what an item is for, when it may fit, what you give up by choosing it and what still needs checking before a purchase.

Who is behind the site

The project is led by Scott Sokoloff. Happy dog, happy life: practical equipment choices for the life you share.

What you can use today

The home-setup planner considers your dog’s stage and size, observed chewing and escape behavior, comfort with confinement, your home and your priorities. It compares equipment types and, where the catalog has reviewed evidence, specific products. You see the results without providing an email address or creating an account.

Explore kennels, dog beds, harnesses, leashes, dog pens and enrichment products, plus guides for choosing a kennel for your vehicle. Our reviews explain practical tradeoffs and link to the sources behind them. The equipment guides and articles help you decide what matters before you shop.

What a recommendation means

A shortlist is a starting point for comparison. It does not establish that an item fits your dog, your doorway or your situation. Confirm the exact model’s dimensions and instructions. We do not claim hands-on product testing unless a page explicitly describes such testing; the current catalog is based on published manufacturer information and editorial comparison.

How the site is funded

Our goal is to support the site through approved referral relationships. A commission must not change the suitability filters. Any active affiliate relationship is identified alongside the relevant link. Read how our links work and how we choose.
