Build a dog setup around easier cleaning

The useful question is which part of cleanup you want to make easier: taking out a tray, washing a cover or rinsing a resting surface.

MidWest iCrate Single Door

Follow the mess through the routine

Write down what you clean most often and where you clean it. A machine-washable cover still needs removing, drying and putting back on. A rinse-clean cot needs a suitable place to rinse it. Choose the task that fits your home rather than assuming one method is easiest for everyone.

Compare the cleanable parts

MidWest’s iCrate has a removable pan. Coolaroo’s Original elevated bed can be rinsed or wiped with mild soap and water. Ophanie’s Ortho bed has a washable removable cover and a protective inner liner. These are distinct features: a washable cover is not proof that the foam can go into the machine.

Plan access and a spare resting place

Leave space for a pan to slide out and for you to reach the back of the crate. Keep a suitable existing bed available while another cover dries. Check closures and reassemble the product as instructed; a care feature is useful only when you can use it routinely.

Read the limits before buying

Waterproof, washable and easy-clean describe different things. Confirm exactly which layer or part the claim applies to and follow the selected model’s instructions. Our planner rewards the documented cleaning mechanism, not an unverified claim about stain removal, hygiene or how long the product will last.
