XS is restrictive. A dog who likes a clear view or stretches out may prefer the brand's open pillow instead.

Measure the entrance, height and internal resting area. The dog should be able to turn and leave freely. A covered format is worth paying for only when the dog already seeks that kind of sleeping space.
