Verify the cover-removal steps and the exact foam specification. A big outside measurement does not establish usable thickness under load.
Fit and care
Measure the complete resting surface and any crate or carrier floor it must fit. Check the thickness and whether the care instructions apply to the cover, the core or the complete pad. Avoid a size that bunches inside the intended space.
