More reach also means more distance to manage. Giant is not Classic, Comfort or Xtreme, and the correct brake operation still matters more than the name.
Fit and handling
Match the model, tape-versus-cord construction, maximum length and selected dog rating. Read brake and lock instructions and inspect the line, attachment and mechanism before use. Keep the line clear of bodies and obstacles; choose an appropriate setting with attentive control.
Check length, width, clip, intended dog limits and included handles. Coupler-only purchases need a compatible main lead; complete dual-leash systems may already include it. Check the handling instructions for retractable, slip, hands-free and long leads.
