Confirm that the selected item is the double-handle lead, rather than a two-dog coupler or slip lead. The shared word double is not enough to match products.
Fit and handling
Compare the actual working length and positions of both grips with the dog and handler together. Confirm whether the item is a complete walking lead or a short traffic lead. Check width, clip and stitching, and use close-handling grips as directed.
Check length, width, clip, intended dog limits and included handles. Coupler-only purchases need a compatible main lead; complete dual-leash systems may already include it. Check the handling instructions for retractable, slip, hands-free and long leads.
