An inexpensive low pen with a limited height proposition
Bestpet’s 24-inch listing may suit a carefully supervised low-boundary use case, but a low price does not answer the climbing question. Establish the latch arrangement and spacing between wires before selecting it for a small dog. Compare the same height with FDW and other basic wire options. Treat claims of broad pet suitability as a prompt to measure the actual animal.
Original research assessment, not a hands-on test.
What to check before buying
- Usable interior and outside footprint in the chosen shape are not independently measured.
- Confirm the exact height, panel count, door opening, seller and included hardware before purchase.
Measure usable enclosed area separately from the outside footprint, projecting feet and door swing. See the measurement guide →
