A distinct finish, not an automatic upgrade
The gold-zinc MidWest should be compared as its own finish and selected height. The step-through entry is useful; the coating name alone does not prove a longer service life in your climate. Plan how the pen will be cleaned and dried between uses. Any square-foot claim should be tied to the specified arrangement, since reshaping connected panels changes the enclosed area.
Original research assessment, not a hands-on test.
What to check before buying
- Usable interior and outside footprint in the chosen shape are not independently measured.
- Confirm the exact height, panel count, door opening, seller and included hardware before purchase.
Measure usable enclosed area separately from the outside footprint, projecting feet and door swing. See the measurement guide →
