How to choose pen height without a weight shortcut

Look at the individual dog

Record body size and observe how the dog behaves around existing boundaries. Jumping, climbing, leaning, pawing and persistent pushing matter. A low pen that works for one calm dog is not evidence that another dog of the same breed can use it.

Check spacing as well as height

Inspect openings, the door and gaps at connectors against the dog’s actual size. A tall wall with unsuitable gaps is not a better fit merely because its top is higher. Ask for measurements where photos are unclear.

Keep access practical

Taller panels make reaching over less convenient. A usable door becomes more important for cleaning and moving bedding. Measure the entry and threshold rather than assuming every door-equipped pen is equally accessible.

Avoid automatic upgrades

If a dog attempts to escape, simply buying a taller version may not address the problem. Reconsider the setup and supervised use. The catalog deliberately avoids assigning a universal safe height to a weight band.
