Best dog kennels for the Chrysler Pacifica

Pacifica seat-stowing assumptions can change the entire kennel plan: check powertrain and trim first.

This guide builds on our general guide to choosing the best kennel for your vehicle. Start there for the overall approach, or change vehicles with the selector below.

Start with your Chrysler Pacifica’s layout

The Pacifica’s Stow ’n Go reputation can make kennel shopping sound easier than it is. Second-row stowing availability depends on powertrain and trim; Hybrid and Pinnacle examples do not all provide the same arrangement as an equipped gasoline model. Verify your exact seats before drawing an empty second-row floor into the plan.

Decide whether the dog loads through a sliding door or the rear hatch. Those routes lead to different useful kennel orientations once the family seats remain in place. A large sliding-door opening is convenient, but the enclosure still needs a supported installed position and the attachment method required by its manufacturer.

For a rear-cargo setup with the third row stowed, compare a rear-facing G1 with a RuffLand configuration chosen for access. A second door may help if it opens toward a usable side-door approach. Check which faces actually contain doors; two openings do not guarantee that either aligns with the Pacifica’s remaining aisle.

Rehearse the transition back to family use before purchasing. Seat wells, releases and passenger exits must remain usable as required by your routine, and a dog should not have to wait in an unsecured kennel while you rearrange the cabin. The right minivan installation follows the seats you own, not the maximum flat-floor photograph you found online.

Kennels we would compare for the Chrysler Pacifica

Verify the actual seat-stowing arrangement, then choose the loading route and kennel doors.

RuffLand double-door kennel

A double-door RuffLand is worth comparing when its two entrances match a real side-and-rear access plan.

When we would pass: Confirm door faces before ordering; two doors do not automatically align with the van.

Gunner G1

A rear-entry G1 is a candidate behind the retained second row with the third row stowed where appropriate.

When we would pass: Do not assume a Hybrid supplies the same empty second-row floor as a Stow ’n Go gasoline example.

These are candidates to investigate, not confirmed fits. Match the exact size and installation instructions to your dog and vehicle before ordering.

Before you order

Use the main guide’s dog-sizing and loading-route checklist to test your chosen layout. Review how to check crash-test evidence for the exact product and installation; a successful physical fit does not establish crash protection.

Bring your dog’s measurements, your model year and trim, and photos of the intended installation area to the kennel seller. Ask for the exterior envelope and usable interior measurements of the exact size and door configuration. Confirm the return terms before a trial fit.
